Guess Who's Coming to Dinner? - Our Summer Sermon Series

Hello, First Presbyterian,

I love the book of Ecclesiastes. As someone who loves to cook (and eat), I especially love Ecclesiastes 8:15: “So I commend enjoyment, for there is nothing better for people under the sun than to eat and drink and enjoy themselves, for this will go with them in their toil through the days of life that God gives them under the sun.”

This summer, we’ll be taking a deep dive into food and faith during our sermon series, “Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner?” Each Sunday from June 16 to September 1, we’ll study a Bible story about cooking, eating, and sharing meals together in the Bible.

I hope that our Sunday worship this summer will be an invitation for you to think deeply about the role of fellowship and food in your own spiritual life–and to invite someone to share a meal (and conversation) with you.

Peace,

Pastor Billy
