Childcare is provided year-round during worship:

Children of all ages are always welcome in worship services, however, two childcare options are available depending on the age of the child.

  1. First, our nursery (Room 101) is open to children aged 0 to 3 years. The nursery is wonderfully furnished and is staffed by paid professionals. A silent paging system is used so that staff may reach you during the service if your child needs you. Baby changing tables are located in both of the downstairs bathrooms off of the Social Hall.

  2. Second, children ages 3-1st grade may leave the worship service with Ms. Sarah Dianne after "Time With Children" for Bridges to Worship, a story-oriented program which includes story time, snack, and a craft or game. We return to the sanctuary in time for the final hymn, and for communion.

Children's and Youth Ministry

Take a few moments to check out a PHOTO SLIDESHOW of the Summer 2014 Youth and Middle School Mission Trip. Five middle and high school girls were ready for a mission adventure. The experience depended their faith, broadened their perspective as compared to their own lives, opened their hearts and the girls were inspired by volunteers that were committed to making a difference.

At First Church, we partner with families to guide and nurture children and youth, providing plenty of ways to encourage kids to know and follow Jesus Christ and be faithful members of his church. Learn how we approach spiritual development of children and youth at Children's Ministry and Youth Ministry.
