 Worship Services

Public worship is the most visible expression of the life of the church in the world. Each Sunday, the church gathers in services of worship in which the people of God express their praise and thanksgiving to God in prayer, song, offerings, reflection upon the Word of God and the celebration of the sacraments. These services of worship take place in our sanctuary whose clean lines and open windows reflect a theology of worship that emphasizes the centrality of Word and Sacrament. Our services of worship promote active participation by the congregation and are intentionally easy to follow so that all may join in. The services are led by both professional and lay leaders as they call forth a rich array of talents from the people of God for the glory of God. The music of the choir, ensembles, children's choir and organ enrich the worship experience.

Take a few moments to check out a PHOTO SLIDESHOW of the Summer 2014 Youth and Middle School Mission Trip. Five middle and high school girls were ready for a mission adventure. The experience depended their faith, broadened their perspective as compared to their own lives, opened their hearts and the girls were inspired by volunteers that were committed to making a difference.

At First Church, we partner with families to guide and nurture children and youth, providing plenty of ways to encourage kids to know and follow Jesus Christ and be faithful members of his church.
