Few things are more important to visitors coming to a church - or to members who come every Sunday - than a warm welcome.  Our church's Greeters offer a smile and warm hello as people come in to worship each Sunday.

If you are visiting our church, our Greeters are happy to answer any questions you have.

Serving as a Greeter is a small time commitment, arriving about twenty minutes before the service and stepping into worship a few minutes after it begins.

Each Sunday, a team of Ushers plays an important role in welcoming congregants, distributing bulletins, taking the offering during service, and occasional other duties to ensure a smooth worship service for all.  Ushers are always happy to answer questions that will make your worship experience better.

If you are interested in serving as part of an Ushering team, speak to Pastor Mickle.

Children's and Youth Ministry

Position Opening: Director of Children’s and Youth Ministry

The Director of Children’s and Youth Ministry is the staff person primarily responsible for the Christian education and worship experience of children and youth from birth through 12th grade. The Director will report to the Pastor as a supervisor and to the Children’s and Youth Ministry Team (CYMT) for programs.  The position is a full-time (exempt) salaried position. For the complete job description please see FPCA_DCYM_June_2019.pdf.

Take a few moments to check out a PHOTO SLIDESHOW of the Summer 2014 Youth and Middle School Mission Trip. Five middle and high school girls were ready for a mission adventure. The experience depended their faith, broadened their perspective as compared to their own lives, opened their hearts and the girls were inspired by volunteers that were committed to making a difference.

At First Church, we partner with families to guide and nurture children and youth, providing plenty of ways to encourage kids to know and follow Jesus Christ and be faithful members of his church.
