Our Board of Trustees actively manages the care and maintenance of our building and grounds. Several times a year, the Trustees host “spruce up” days when people bring their talents for landscaping, gardening, pruning, cleaning and repairing to have fun and fellowship sprucing  up our building and grounds. If you have the skills and interest in helping, please contact the Board of Trustees at This email address is being protected from spambots. Memorial Garden

Willing volunteers worked together to create the beautiful First Presbyterian Church Memorial Garden. Nestled in a brick alcove with an embedded cross, the Garden was designed to provide a quiet space for meditation, reflection and conversation, and a memorial space to remember loved ones. Its collection of "Biblical plants" (species referenced in the Bible) and its "spiral" stone walkway delight children of all ages. Each year, volunteers weed, mulch and prune the plants and trees to maintain this peaceful oasis on the church property. We hope the Garden says a resounding "Welcome" to our community.

Children's and Youth Ministry

Position Opening: Director of Children’s and Youth Ministry

The Director of Children’s and Youth Ministry is the staff person primarily responsible for the Christian education and worship experience of children and youth from birth through 12th grade. The Director will report to the Pastor as a supervisor and to the Children’s and Youth Ministry Team (CYMT) for programs.  The position is a full-time (exempt) salaried position. For the complete job description please see FPCA_DCYM_June_2019.pdf.

Take a few moments to check out a PHOTO SLIDESHOW of the Summer 2014 Youth and Middle School Mission Trip. Five middle and high school girls were ready for a mission adventure. The experience depended their faith, broadened their perspective as compared to their own lives, opened their hearts and the girls were inspired by volunteers that were committed to making a difference.

At First Church, we partner with families to guide and nurture children and youth, providing plenty of ways to encourage kids to know and follow Jesus Christ and be faithful members of his church.
