Children of all ages are always welcome in worship services; however if desired, childcare is available for infants and toddlers from birth to age 4 in the Nursery, Room 101. Children in our nursery are cared for by both paid staff and parent volunteers. A silent paging system is used.
Praying the Service of Light: Evening prayer will be each Wednesday of Lent. This is a simple, quiet service, filled with prayer and scripture reading. We plan on including Lambeth Bible Study, a group lectio divina. The Word of God came to communities of faithful people and we hear, learn and understand more when we listen together. No previous experience of the Bible is necessary, only openness to the Holy Spirit. Services will be held in the sanctuary at 7:00 p.m. on Feb. 24, March 3, 10, and 24; at 6:00 p.m. on March 17.

Volunteers Needed for A-SPAN Bagged Meals Program: Volunteers are needed for A-SPAN Bagged Meals on the evening of Wednesday, February 24. First Church has been preparing bagged meals for the homeless in conjunction with Arlington Street People's Assistance Network for many years. Volunteers are needed to prepare bagged meals starting at 7:00pm in the church kitchen on February 24.
Sunday Morning Activities for Children and Youth (9:45 a.m. - 10:45 a.m.):
Parent and Me Circle Time: Parents and guardians of children ages 0-3 gather in the Bridges to Worship Room (Room 102) for playtime and family fellowship.
GodVentures Sunday School: Children in preschool through 6th grade gather in the Rally Room (Room 209) for songs and games. Afterwards they join grade-level groups to attend various workshops.
Youth Class: Room 103.
